Comments: In 1832, Charles Carroll is dying and wants to reveal the location of a massive treasure hidden by the Freemasons to President Andrew Jackson. Since the president is unavailable, he tells a boy the story and provides the first clue to its location. More than a century later his descendent, Ben Gates, is obsessed with finding the treasure. How could he not encounter adventure?

This film makes good entertainment without accuracy. Very enjoyable and exciting. It seems to me to be a cross between The Goonies and Pirates of the Caribbean, which happen to be two of my favorite movies.
