Comments: A Bagdad poet is dispatched to the North as an emissary. Yes, it is not a position of prestige, but one of punishment. Along the way he encounters a group of Northmen. Will he be lucky enough not be killed?

This film is very graphic but, I feel, it is necessary to get the point across. Life in the Norse life was not easy. Blood was everywhere, always, and it meant life for those who traveled there. It's based on the Crighton novel, which is a little different.

This is a wonderful film. It's one that I frequently re-watch and relish. I must be a bit of a Viking!
