Comments: Though in this war movie the characters are struggling to perfect daylight bombing, this film strikes at the personal aspect of war. It's as fresh today as it was then.

Unlike modern filmmakers that seem to relish using special effects to portray injury and death, this movie, which still includes such sad aspects, doesn't plaster the movie screen with it. Instead the director concentrates on achieving superior acting to bring the audience into the psychological struggles of these aviators.

Truly an excellent movie.
